We are a team of volunteers with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program serving Thurston County, Washington. Our goal is simple: to make sure members of our community don’t miss out on the tax refunds, credits, and deductions they’ve earned simply because they cannot afford a paid tax preparer.
Each year, our dedicated group of about 70 volunteers provides free tax preparation and secure e-file services to local taxpayers. In a typical filing season, we help prepare more than 2,500 federal income tax returns and secure approximately $2.6 million in refunds for our community.
